Stayed up til 5am to follow the PE results
Even though my eyelids were closing
listening to Yam Ah Mee announcing the results live
was a motivation that kept me awake! :D
Another motivation was the wish that
Dr Tan Cheng Bock would win at the end of the day

That wish didn't come true :(

I don't mind Dr Tony Tan actually
he's really well-suited for the job of President
cos of his diplomatic experiences and knowledge of the economy etc
(actually I don't mind everyone except TJS -.-)

But I prefer Dr Tan Cheng Bock
cos I think he is more people-orientated
has his own guiding principles and a mind of his own
He's a candidate whom I trust will really care about
and fight for the interests and good of Singaporeans
One who will speak up when things are wrong
One who will put Singaporeans first and will not be easily...
silenced and controlled? :X
He's like our 慈祥 de ah gong... a unifying figure!!
Uber touched when browsing through the photos of him
giving hugs to his supporters :)

I was and still am feeling sad
reading posts on Dr TCB's fan page
be it congratulatory messages or words of condolences
So proud of him he really put on a good fight :)

So we'll be seeing Dr Tony Tan's photo in our school hall soon!
Here's wishing him all the best
and may he perform the duties of the President well
Please be a good president!! :DD

Had a super epic journey to the Yuhua Dialogue today
The Yuhua Dialogue was organised by Ms Grace Fu to address
the concerns residents have on the PM's National Day Rally btw
Anw!! It took me 5 to 6 bus rides and a taxi ride to get there! xO
I'm supposed to transfer at a bus stop
but I wasn't familiar with the place so when I missed the bus stop
I thought it would be okay cos I could just get off at the next stop
and take any bus to go back to that bus stop

But apparently that wasn't the case lor!
I randomly took a bus at the opposite side
and that bus took me to an orlulu bus stop in an orlulu place
which doesn't have my bus D:
So I crossed the road again and took a random bus (again)
which took me to another orlulu place! T.T

But being a determined girl! -nods-
I decided to cross the road to return to the first orlulu place
then took the bus which hai-ed me back to the
overshot bus stop then took a bus back to the transfer place :D
It's like... finally~

But no! That wasn't the end!
Cos I had to transfer to an express bus
the frequency of the bus is like... can go siao one -.-
The first time I checked the service told me
the bus would take 20 min to reach the bus stop
But after 20 min I checked the service again
and it told me the bus would only come 17min later
Checking the service totally wasted my 20 cents T.T

I gave up......
and flagged for a taxi instead

The best is yet to be.

I mean the best part is the taxi part.

Jermia: Uncle 可以带我去 Yuhua CC 吗谢谢！
Taxi Uncle: Where is Yuhua CC?
Jermia: ...... I think it's in Boon Lay...
Taxi Uncle: Then it's okay Boon Lay is not very big I can help you find
Jermia: Thank you uncle!
Taxi Uncle: Do you have a street directory with you?
Jermia: Err no :X
Taxi Uncle: Do you have Google maps in your handphone?
Jermia: hahaha! My handphone no internet :X

He must be thinking how come this girl so hopeless -.-ll

Taxi Uncle: Why are you going to Yuhua CC?
Jermia: Orh cos got dialogue
Taxi Uncle: What dialogue?
Jermia: It's by Ms Grace Fu about the National Day Rally
Taxi Uncle: Don't go lah! The government is trying to brainwash you!
Jermia: Err... hahahahaha! -smiles awkwardly-

Taxi Uncle: Go Google Map and search Y-U-E-H-W-A CC!
Jermia: ahh... uncle I think should be Y-U-H-U-A :D
-Jermia keys in Yuhua CC and Google Map tells her there's no connection-
Jermia: Er uncle they say no connection
Taxi Uncle: See I told you you spell wrong already! You type wrong la! Type Y-U-E-H-W-A!
Jermia: HAHAHA nvm uncle! I sms my friend and ask for the address :D

Taxi Uncle: My son graduated with a PhD in Physics!
Jermia: Wow! Congratulations! :):) what is he working as now?
Taxi Uncle: He's working for the Iran President. He is an inventor of nuclear bombs
-Jermia widens her eyes in disbelief. What!!! Iran President?!! Nuclear bombs???-
Jermia: ... woah uncle that's very cool.
Taxi Uncle: Do you believe me?
Jermia: AHAHAHAHA! no... :X
Taxi Uncle: Really really. He's earning a lot of money from the oil.
-Jermia wonders what's the link between inventing nuclear bombs for the Iran President and earning money from oil...-

The Yuhua Dialogue was insightful and enlightening
Most of the questions raised in the dialogue
were about rising housing prices and yes of course
90% of the questions were about foreign talents
1.The role of FTs and PRCs in Singapore
like some of them using our country as a stepping board
and trying as hard as they can to avoid doing NS
2. Foreign talents making employment hard for Singaporeans
3. Foreign talents in Singaporean universities etc

I finally understand why Mrs Lai loves cleaning so much!
It gives you a sense of satisfaction
Just now I was tidying up my room and cleaning it
It was then that I realised how dirty and messy
my pig sty is .___.ll
After cleaning it's like...
wow! The air is so much fresher
and my room is a lot more pleasing to the eyes :DD
I am so proud of myself ^^

Yall should go clean your rooms someday also!
