Stayed up til 5am to follow the PE results
Even though my eyelids were closing
listening to Yam Ah Mee announcing the results live
was a motivation that kept me awake! :D
Another motivation was the wish that
Dr Tan Cheng Bock would win at the end of the day

That wish didn't come true :(

I don't mind Dr Tony Tan actually
he's really well-suited for the job of President
cos of his diplomatic experiences and knowledge of the economy etc
(actually I don't mind everyone except TJS -.-)

But I prefer Dr Tan Cheng Bock
cos I think he is more people-orientated
has his own guiding principles and a mind of his own
He's a candidate whom I trust will really care about
and fight for the interests and good of Singaporeans
One who will speak up when things are wrong
One who will put Singaporeans first and will not be easily...
silenced and controlled? :X
He's like our 慈祥 de ah gong... a unifying figure!!
Uber touched when browsing through the photos of him
giving hugs to his supporters :)

I was and still am feeling sad
reading posts on Dr TCB's fan page
be it congratulatory messages or words of condolences
So proud of him he really put on a good fight :)

So we'll be seeing Dr Tony Tan's photo in our school hall soon!
Here's wishing him all the best
and may he perform the duties of the President well
Please be a good president!! :DD

Had a super epic journey to the Yuhua Dialogue today
The Yuhua Dialogue was organised by Ms Grace Fu to address
the concerns residents have on the PM's National Day Rally btw
Anw!! It took me 5 to 6 bus rides and a taxi ride to get there! xO
I'm supposed to transfer at a bus stop
but I wasn't familiar with the place so when I missed the bus stop
I thought it would be okay cos I could just get off at the next stop
and take any bus to go back to that bus stop

But apparently that wasn't the case lor!
I randomly took a bus at the opposite side
and that bus took me to an orlulu bus stop in an orlulu place
which doesn't have my bus D:
So I crossed the road again and took a random bus (again)
which took me to another orlulu place! T.T

But being a determined girl! -nods-
I decided to cross the road to return to the first orlulu place
then took the bus which hai-ed me back to the
overshot bus stop then took a bus back to the transfer place :D
It's like... finally~

But no! That wasn't the end!
Cos I had to transfer to an express bus
the frequency of the bus is like... can go siao one -.-
The first time I checked the service told me
the bus would take 20 min to reach the bus stop
But after 20 min I checked the service again
and it told me the bus would only come 17min later
Checking the service totally wasted my 20 cents T.T

I gave up......
and flagged for a taxi instead

The best is yet to be.

I mean the best part is the taxi part.

The Yuhua Dialogue was insightful and enlightening
Most of the questions raised in the dialogue
were about rising housing prices and yes of course
90% of the questions were about foreign talents
1.The role of FTs and PRCs in Singapore
like some of them using our country as a stepping board
and trying as hard as they can to avoid doing NS
2. Foreign talents making employment hard for Singaporeans
3. Foreign talents in Singaporean universities etc

I finally understand why Mrs Lai loves cleaning so much!
It gives you a sense of satisfaction
Just now I was tidying up my room and cleaning it
It was then that I realised how dirty and messy
my pig sty is .___.ll
After cleaning it's like...
wow! The air is so much fresher
and my room is a lot more pleasing to the eyes :DD
I am so proud of myself ^^

Yall should go clean your rooms someday also!

One fine morning I was walking to school
together with Elton Lai
when we saw an uber cute cat! :DD
So I was like "hello meowie! meowmeow!" to the cat
then the cat meowed back to me leh! ^^
Then the best part was
the cat began to stalk us O.O!

As in the cat began to follow us at the back la :):)
It would walk for a few steps
then roll on the ground for a while
which made both of us very "awww!" hahaha! ^^
Initially we thought the cat was following Elton
It was only when the two of us
walked on our separate ways
that we realised the cat was actually my stalker ;D
-honoured-

While feeling very happy and excited
I began to worry if the cat would follow me
all the way up on the bus O.O
Then I'll bring it to Nanyang
so that it can live together and befriend the NY cats haha! xD
But it stopped following me after a while la
just before I started crossing a road :)

I miss the cat D;

Hahaha! During Jap on monday
he asked us what we did in the weekends
Some people answered 楽しいパーティーに行った I think :D
then sensei said something like
"Prelimという楽しいパーティーですね"
HAHAHA!!! FUNNY MAX xD!

When lesson ended sensei gave us a KitKat each! ^^
He asked us if we knew the reason why he gave us that
then we said "Take a break!!" xDD
which obviously is not the reason larh :O

原来 KitKat sounds like ”きっと勝つ" (kitto-katsu) in Jap
which means that we will definitely achieve success! :):)
So the KitKats are Sensei's well-wishes
and good luck presents for us!

Which reminds me of a short conversation
I had with Mr Khoo after school last Wednesday
which really... touched me a lot too ;)

I was walking pass the canteen on the way to the bus stop
Initially I just wanted to bow and greet Mr Khoo then ka meh zao
cos I was still feeling very bad about the math paper
so when I realised that Mr Khoo was walking towards me
I was like... "x___x ohmytian nooooo~!!!!!"

Mr Khoo started by asking me
"you know what I'm going to ask you right"
so I began to explain that I didn't spend enough time on math
then he asked me
"why? busy talking to your boyfriend issit"
which shocked me a lot even though I knew he was just joking
so I 连忙 explained to him that
I spent my time studying bio instead cos
bio was on the same day as math...

I really thought he was going to scold me
Especially now that I got back my math paper already
and looking at those irritating mistakes I made
I not only 该骂 also 该打 lor to the max D: D: D: D: D:

But no... Mr Khoo didn't scold me D;

Instead he told me with a super kind smile
"I will accept it as long as you know what you are doing"
Which shocked me a lot again
It was a shock different from the first one
cos it's not the eye bigbig mouth bigbig kind of shock
but the brain shock heart shock kind of shock

I am extremely grateful to Mr Khoo for his understanding
and his care and most importantly his trust
they mean a lot to me
Even though I really don't know whether I deserve these or not
what I can promise is that I will work really hard

After that he kind of jiayou-ed me I think
It was the first time after a longlong time
that I experienced a mixture of emotions
guilt gratitude sadness happiness apology motivation etcetc
altogether at one time

Mr Khoo is super inspiring! (Y)
It's like even though he's strict we know it's for our own good
he's really a teacher truly deserving of our respect :):)
Okay shall stop fangirling already :X

Broke two test tubes during bio prac! :OO

I thought I could create a
"no breaking of test tube in 4 years of my NY life" record leh D:

I didn't bring my wallet to the lab
so I borrowed one dollar from Vanessa Lim
who used this opportunity to dump all of her 5cent coins (Y)
LOL!!! Ms Chee was like O.O!

Created a fanpage for Ms Chee under Xiuyi's request yesterday! :DD
Both of us thought of a super cool name for our fanclub
"MissChee-vous"!! WOOHOO so creative right! (Y)
We shared this idea with a few others
and all of us were laughing next to the staff board
so much so that teachers that walked past us
thought that we were laughing at the teachers hahaha!!! xDD

Actually we always do :P

Kena laughed at by the class and Ms Chee and Ms Foo
for my lack of ability to spot camouflaging animals xO!
Especially Ms Chee who was laughing happily
like that time when she laughed about pre-ejaculation hahaha! xD

I was feeling sad that
I lack the "find food" and "notice the presence of predators" gene D:
so I decided to spam jokes in the 408 joke book instead
Then Ms Chee said something like

No I mustn't laugh. This is not funn--- hahahahahahaha! xD"
哭笑不得 to the max :P!

Someone asked me a question on Formspring! :D

Question: Do you lick your icecream or bite it?

Hahaha what an interesting question~! :DD It really depends on 5 factors.

1. My mood

This can be further broken down into two scenarios:

(a) When Jermia Lai is feeling happy
(b) When Jermia Lai is feeling sad D:

(a) When I feel happy, I will tend to lick my icecream because licking my icecream will make me feel even happier :D Maybe it's because the icecream lasts longer, then I think it's very worth the money AHAHAHAHA!

(b) Feeling sad can mean two things - I am depressed OR I am angryyy~ In both cases, I will tend to bite my icecream. It is a platform for me to vent my frustrations lo O.O When I feel angry or sad, I will feel the urge to bite something... or someone :X

2. The meltability of the icecream in question

If the ice-cream is easily meltable then of course must bite larh!

3. The coldness of the icecream

This is an important factor. The coldness of the icecream will largely determine it's fate aka how I'm going to eat it. If it's okayokay (eg. Magnum, and those icecreams with cones) then I will most likely bite it. But if it's freeeeezinggg cold and hard like Potong icecream then I will prefer to lick it! I mean... don't tell me you bite freezing cold and hard Potong icecream O.O will kena brainfreeze oneee xP

4. Who I am eating the icecream with

If the person licks the icecream then I will lick with her; If the person bites the icecream then I will bite with her :D

5. The deliciousness of the icecream

If I like the icecream uber much or if it's super yumyum then I will prefer to lick it. Makes the icecream last longer heehee! ;D

Yupyup I think that's all! ^^ Why? You want to treat me to icecream issit! xDD

P/S: I thought it's spelt as ice cream/ice-cream? heehee oh well since you wrote 'icecream' in your question I decided that I will just follow suit :D

(psps the first and third videos are fixed already! :P)

Did class CIP on Thursday! :DD
Initially I was super worried
because although my Hainanese is like super pro
compared to my generation of Hainaneses
my Hokkien, Cantonese and Teochew etc are CMI ttm! x__x

So I was worried that I couldn't communicate with the
ah mas and ah gongs
cos my dialect is... haiz D:

One of the popos Kaixuan and I partnered
is 88 years old this year! ^^
She's a perfectionist
Throughout the activity she kept telling me that she 画不美
and wanted me to help her draw her shirt
Initially I was hesitating if I should help her draw or not
you know my 招牌 flowers clouds sunshine butterflies
and everything nice! :DD
Until the person-in-charge came and stopped me

I like the person-in-charge's EQ (Y)

She encouraged the popo
by telling her not to be afraid and "just draw it!" :)
And teased her for being humble and showed us
a super pretty flower that popo drew not long ago
In the end the popo really became more confident
and pleased with herself
she finally agreed to draw on her own! ^^

HER FLOWERS ARE SO MUCH PRETTIER THAN MINE CAN ;D

So that's a learning point
Instead of offering help to people (unless they really need it)
we should always encourage them to take that first step
by telling them that they can do it! :D

Like that popo I mentioned just now
whenever other volunteers walked past and praised her flowers
for being "JIN SUI! (Y)"
she smiled super happily and looked very delighted :)
If I were to help her earlier
she wouldn't have gained that feeling of satisfaction
The really cool thing is the popo is called 陈惜花
cherish the flowers! ^^

Before we left
the person-in-charge gave us 2 paper cranes each
handmade by the popo ^^
I shall keep it properly because
it represents the popo's well-wishes for us! :):)

Finally kena "scolded" by Mr Khoo on Thursday
Phew...
I feel so much better after being "scolded"
At least he still bothered to scold me!
To me this means that 他对我还没有绝望
so I am now motivated to put in more effort for math
I must really admit that I was complacent
and spent my time on other subjects instead D:

Actually he didn't really scold us
but rather it was an expression of his disappointment
We really could have done a lot better
I don't know whether it's coincidental or on purpose
he scolded Kaixuan, Weihui, Jermia and Baobao only
a.k.a our Shanghai-Beijing gang O.O
Kaixuan and Jermia are expected la 该骂！
Weihui probably didn't meet his expectations for her
As for Baobao
we figured out that she's being dragged down
被拖下水 one :P

Watched RENT during LA lesson on Thursday
which made me start to think a lot about
homosexuality and AIDS
Mr Kaw asked us if we would feel uncomfortable
if we were in a room full of people with AIDS
Honestly I would
but uncomfortable is not the right word
I would be scared to be more precise
because to me
uncomfortable has that meaning of rejection

I don't reject them.

I thought for a while and figured out that
I wouldn't mind hanging out with people having AIDS
especially if they are people I love
I believe that love will triumph fear.
I remember there was once our gang discussed
what if a guy we love tells us he has AIDS?

While there are people who will not mind taking care of him
there are also those who will give up and leave
I'm not saying being practical is wrong la
or maybe they simply just cannot accept the fact that
the guy actually "did it"! :X
But if we really love a person from the bottom of our heart
to me lah to me as long as he's the happiness I'm searching for
I will not mind
I will not mind not having 3 kids too AHAHAHAHA xD

I know it's easier said than done
but I will try :)
The key lies in love I guess

But of course the 前提 is
he must not be frivolous la!
Woah diao if he's frivolous and 玩弄 my 感情

but it's too lame nobody will do it with me oneee D;

408 was super awesome at Teacher's Day audtions yesterday!
I think our class can form a band already lor
and we sing so beautifully somemore :D

I was feeling so fortunate that we have HaoMing who are so enthu
and Weihui who didn't mind singing so many times
(she actually likes it larh) so all of us are familiar with the tunes alr!

Gave Mrs Lai back my NYAA booklet yesterday
she was telling me that she thought I surely no problem one
and put my booklet at the last
in the end she got a shock when she saw my diary

woahhh I can't stand it anymore I must rant and I must complain!! xO

I have been visiting the Temasek Review website for a while now. I understand that the Straits Times is quite pro-government, so I thought Temasek Review might be a good medium to obtain reliable and unbiased information.

I puke blood totally. The way they talk about stuffs. Even though Blogger does not allow copy and pasting, I shall quote something from the TR and type it word for word to show how ____ (fill in your own word) they are. Okay, they are not TOTALLY ____, but they are ____ most of the time. By the way, ____ is not a compliment .__.

"......the regime continues to spend millions of dollars of taxpayers' monies each year on the extravagant National Day Parade reminiscent of North Korea's yearly Arirang Festival to glorify its despotic rule." Firstly, HELLO HAVE YOU WATCHED NK'S ARIRANG FESTIVAL BEFORE? I do not remember, at least in this year's National Day Parade, performers marching around carrying portraits of the leaders and proclaiming how great and noble they are. I do not sense that the National Day Parade is a PAP propaganda. It is a parade in celebration of our country, our people and the Singapore spirit - how we have come together in times of difficulties since the Kampong days, how we look out for each other and strive hard towards common goals. It highlights the continuation of the Singapore Spirit, not the PAP spirit. Towards the end of the musical, we saw the little boy running around the stage waving the Singapore flag, not the PAP flag. And how is Singapore's rule like that of North Korea? North Korea is communist; people do not have the right to vote for their government. Singapore is democratic, we DO have the right to vote the current regime out if we really buay song! But the thing is 60.1% of the population is not buay song, unlike you! SO FREE GO WATCH THE ARIRANG FESTIVAL LA CRAP SO MUCHHH!!

Secondly, the fact that you do not care about having a National Day Parade, or rather, you feel NOTHING about National Day does not mean that it does not mean a thing to many other Singaporeans too. What is the significance of National Day? It is a day set aside for Singaporeans, as well as people who love Singapore, to celebrate its independence, to celebrate Singapore.

Which brings me to my next point. Singapore does not equate to its government. You can be unhappy about the current regime, but how, how can you not love our country? D: And how, can a person who does not love where he/she belongs maintain and run a website which can truly, bring to its readers truthful and objective information for the good of Singapore? If you are just feeling unhappy with the country, you will probably just publish bad (and probably biased) stuffs most of the time. Which, in my opinion, is what Temasek Review is doing. I don't see pleasant stuffs there; All I see are complains, 80% of which are so irrational they are blood-puking-inducing.

Btw, even though that quote is taken from "Opinions", I assume that the editors of Temasek Review wrote it since the above quote is not in bold.

I understand that the Temasek Review exposes the discontentment Singaporeans have, like inflation, certain policies, and the influx of foreigners (be it foreign workers or foreign talents) especially. It is good to know what problems fellow Singaporeans are facing. However, I think they (both the editors and the readers) are a little overboard in the things they say, and are emotional most of the time they sound like naggy and whiny Juliet's nurses. People can even blame foreign talents for technical glitches in DBS ATM machines. This week wasn't a good week for Aquarius :(

Read Kaixuan's wowishly reflective blog post just now
and realised that her week
was just as... emotionally draining as mine
Hers is because of block tests (and maybe K too)
Mine is because of block tests...
and a dream

I'm not talking about "dreams" as in aspirations and goals
like our LA block test paper question 5
"We should not give up our dreams easily" :P

Let's side-track abit and talk about the LA block test paper :D
Mr Kaw, or rather his paper, is kind and nice :)
I didn't write question 5 I wrote question 1
I wrote about poverty and put my IH knowledge into good use! :P

I assume you know what kind of dream I am talking about now
It's the sleeping kind of dream larh
Don't laugh at me for being emotionally affected
because of a dream
It was disturbing D:
I felt threatened
and I am scared :(

I think I am too stressed
I hope that I had that dream because I was too stressed
because that way
I won't have that scary dream
when I don't feel stressed anymore D:

I need strength from my Lord :O

At this period of emotional turmoil
I feel blessed to have manymany friends
who are willing to lend me their listening ears

that I realised I tuned in to the wrong channel .__.ll

Mrs Lai is an awesomely caring and hardworking teacher :)
Hilary and I stayed back in school to mug Chem on Thursday
We stayed back until quite late
then we decided to find Mrs Lai cos
there were stuffs we didn't understand

And Mrs Lai was still in school! Like especially for us leh :):)
'Us' as in not Hilary and Jermia, but all her students
in case you misunderstand HAHAHA!! ;D
Hilary and I were being fascinated by her explanations
to our questions :O

Math lesson was a lot better than I thought
as in initially I thought I'm just going to
keep staring at my desk for the whole lesson
without having the courage to look up at Mr Khoo x__x
Mr Khoo was indeed angry when he stepped into our class
but I think he felt happier when he saw the announcement
reminding the class to vote in Teacher's Day Awards
and vote Mr Khoo for Most Inspiring Teacher heehee! :DD
Then he said "am I inspiring? I'm just about to scold you!"
He postponed his scoldings to the time
when he returns us our math papers xP

Watched HP and the Deathly Hallows Part II on Friday
I don't know why but I kept having the illusion that
Voldemort's nose was getting bigger and bigger
as the movie progresses :O

Chatted with Kaixuan who is feeling unhappy :(
All I can say is... get well soon and jiayou!!
Block tests 2 wasn't very good for both of us
and a lot of other people too
but it's probably time to get on with life

I think one of the quotes that influenced me a lot is
“伤心也是一天，快乐也是一天。
还不如快快乐乐地过着每一天"
Indeed, sometimes it's difficult for us to cheer up
but really, what's the point of feeling depressed?
It doesn't solve the problem
it doesn't make you feel any better
it doesn't make the people around you feel good too

We shouldn't waste our time away feeling sad
when many other people are struggling against time to live
For every 5 seconds we spend sighing and crying
9 people die around the world
I am not saying that feeling sad is a bad thing
afterall it is natural; it is part of being human
short periods of sadness make us normal
prolonged periods of sadness make us depressed D:
We should treat ourselves and the people around us better
find the crux of the issue and look for ways to solve it! :)

Yes we should 认真对待我们所做的每一件事
但是错了，伤心了，知错了，学习了
就该放下了
Compared to the many challenges and setbacks
we are going to face for the next...manymany years of our lives

Jermia hasn't been feeling happy these 2 days
because she flunked her math paper D;
Although she still is (and will always be)
Mr Khoo's no.2 fangirl
she thinks that with this guilty state of mind she has presently
she will go berserk if she were to see Mr Khoo now

是 Mr Khoo's disappointed look
Sorry Mr Khoo... 是我辜负了你 :(

I already flunked math
so I can't afford to flunk anything else already!!
In a bid to make myself 振作起来
and 化悲愤为食量力量
to mug IH and Physics yesterday
so that I won't 对不起 Mr Tay and Mr Tan also
I discovered a really effective method to calm myself down
Listening to classical music on FM92.4 helps a lot :DD

过去的就让它过去吧
The most important thing is I must learn from my mistakes
and work extra hard to make sure that
I won't repeat them again
以后一定要加倍努力 (Y)!

Talking about the math paper...
There was this period of time when I felt panicky
while revisiting those questions that I didn't know how to do
I was asking Mrs Lai for a few pieces of paper
then after passing me those pieces of foolscap papers
she gave me a pat on my shoulder :)
which shocked me a bit...
but it gave me a feeling of reassurance
and I felt peaceful and motivated again ;D
At that moment
I was touched ^^ (double meanings heehee! :P)

Shall start my recount with Minghui's epic joke:

有一个医生要测试一个精神病人的智商有没有受影响
所以他问那个精神病人：

Mr Tay was hilarious during IH remedial last week :DD!
He was trying to explain the difference
between context and content I think :O
So he said, "I see people eating. (:X)
Therefore I am eager to find something to eat after I get out.
The context is
I am hungry." (Y)!
After that he said he was being sarcastic O.O

Before remedial ended
he said that we must read between the lines
and think beyond the obvious .__.ll

Oh yesterday...
Brenda was telling me about Teacher xxxxx
who wishes that students have block tests everyday
so that the school will remain peaceful and quiet .__. !
I was complaining that Teacher xxxxx "is super saddist leh!"
then Mr Tay suddenly popped out from nowhere
and spoke loudly with his boomzie voice!
Omg he scared me out of my wits
even though I don't have much wits for him to scare out -_-
cos for a moment I thought it was Teacher xxxxx
x___x 做贼心虚 to the max
My blood circulation was super good for a few minutes -.-ll

Speaking about blood circulation reminds me of bio! ^^
Ms Chee must be laughing her hearts out
while marking the bio papers now :):)
I heard of many epic answers which are hall-of-fame worthy
One of which is something that many sanbas wrote
"The eyeballs will not pop out even if we sneeze with our eyes opened
as the RECTAL muscles will hold on to it" AHAHAHAHA!!!
Rectal muscles vs Rectus muscles funny to the max
And the most epic thing is rectal muscles do exist
if you don't know what it is you can try googling it!

I totally died-ed for part 2 of the last essay question
about recommending heart surgeries for Mr Tan x__x
I didn't mug that part so I relied entirely on my crapping skills :(
I was trying very hard to recall the name of the heart surgery
It is "coronary bypass" but I forgot
and the OST of the korean drama 赤子之心 kept playing in my head
which led to the creation on my newly created word
"the doctor may recommend Mr Tan to go for BICASPY" xO!

Somemore I wrote that the surgery will involve
the doctor using sunction to suck the saturated fats out
omydiao I was laughing at my own answer .__.ll
I was telling Samantha I shall consider becoming a heart surgeon
when I grow up so that I can invent Bicaspy someday :DD
